Student license
LCAbyg is free while you study or teach. You get everything in Pro, so you can run real LCA calculations as part of your studies or your teaching.
Students
- Create an account at app.lcabyg.dk/register.
- Choose the free student license.
- Sign in at app.lcabyg.dk and get started. You get access straight away; the licence is validated later.
Teachers
- Sign up the same way as students.
- Use LCAbyg in your teaching.

What you get

The student license must not be used for commercial or professional work. It is personal and strictly for educational use.
For teachers and institutions
Using LCAbyg with a class? There are two routes:
- Students sign themselves up. Each student creates a free student license at app.lcabyg.dk/register. No application, no waiting – easiest when the class just needs to get going.
- A license for the whole institution. The school gets a number of seats and grants access itself. Choose this if you want to manage access centrally or keep an overview of usage.
A license for the whole institution
Educational institutions can get a single license covering the school or institution. You state how many seats you need, and the institution then grants access itself.
- Write to info@lcabyg.dk with the institution's name, a contact person and the number of seats you need.
- We set up the institution's license and give the contact person access to administer the seats.
- The institution grants access to students and teachers as needed, within the agreed number of seats.
Frequently asked questions
What happens when I finish studying?
You can upgrade to a paid license (Basis or Pro) and carry on with your projects. Otherwise we recommend downloading your projects before the student license expires.
May I use the student license for paid work?
No. The student license is personal and only for study and teaching. As soon as a calculation forms part of paid work, a consulting project or anything outside your studies, a paid license (Basis or Pro) is required.
Do I have to prove that I am a student or teacher?
Right now you set up the license yourself and get access straight away. Later, you will have to validate your student license to keep access.
